About Studio 19

Studio 19 is a boutique dance studio in Raleigh, NC offering contemporary and lyrical classes for adults.

Whether you’re returning to dance or stepping into the studio for the first time, Studio 19 is a space to move, train, and connect with dance.

Class Offerings

Contemporary Progressions

Intermediate - Advanced level
Lyrical/Contemporary

Thursdays | 7:00–8:00 PM

A contemporary/lyrical class focused on advancing technique and learning more complex combinations. Recommended for dancers with prior training or experience.

Contemporary Foundations

Beginner Level
Lyrical/Contemporary

Thursdays | 6:00-7:00pm

A contemporary/lyrical class focused on learning basic technique and foundational movement. Recommended for dancers with little to no prior experience.

6 Week Session $120

Price will Increase for Future Sessions

Six weeks of contemporary/lyrical dance training.
One 1-hour class each week in a structured session designed to improve
technique and movement.
Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced levels available.
Class size is limited. Advanced registration required. 6-Week Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.

Single Class $25

One drop-in contemporary/lyrical dance class (1 hour).
Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced levels available.
Class size is limited. Advanced registration and class date selection are required prior to attendance.
Single Class Pass purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Failure to select a class date before registration closes will result in forfeiture of the pass.

6:00 PM CONTEMPORARY FOUNDATIONS

Perfect for first-timers or those returning to dance and looking to rebuild their foundation.

Class 2

7:00 PM CONTEMPORARY PROGRESSIONS

Intermediate–Advanced Lyrical / Contemporary
Designed for experienced dancers who want to continue training and refining their technique.

Tori Edwards

Founder & Instructor

Tori is a lifelong dancer with over 20 years of experience in competitive, collegiate, and semi-professional dance. She trained in a wide range of styles including jazz, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, musical theatre, and lyrical, and spent many years performing and competing in dance competitions.

Throughout her youth, she was actively involved in competitive dance and performed in productions and showcases including West Side Story at Thalian Hall, performances at the Cucalorus Dance Festival, and benefit events supporting organizations such as Habitat for Humanity. She later danced on her college dance team and has continued training and performing through contemporary and lyrical work, praise dance, and other performance opportunities.

In addition to performing, Tori has experience teaching dance and working with dancers in a variety of settings. While continuing her own training as an adult, she recognized how limited adult dance opportunities can be. Studio 19 was created to provide a welcoming space where adults of all experience levels can train, move, and connect with dance.
